The ʻIto d-Mor Peṭros w-Pawlos (ܥܺܕ̱ܬܳܐ ܕܡܳܪܝ̱ ܦܶܛܪܳܘܣ\nܘܦܰܘܠܳܘܣ; Church of Saints Peter and Paul) is reported to have been\nbuilt in the 17th century.¹\n However, according to Badger, as of 1850 the services for the around 40\nfamilies with 2 priests were held in a private house.²\nHowever, it is certain that the Syriac Catholics had a “small church” as\nof 1861.³\nAs of 1861, they were under the jurisdiction of the bishop in Mardin,\nalthough the bishop used to reside in Diyârbekir before that point.⁴\nOther details about the church are unknown.
